Tattoo Aftercare

Remove bandage after 2-3 hrs. Do not re-bandage

Before cleaning your new tattoo always wash your hands for 30 seconds with antibacterial soap with warm water, and slowly, and gently clean your new tattoo. Avoid picking off scabs.

Pat your new tattoo dry with a paper towel, or sterile gauze, or let it air dry (Avoid wash rags, or towels because they harbor bacteria.)

After the tattoo is dry apply a small thin layer of Tattoo Goo, Aquaphor, Bacitracin, or H20 Ocean. Do not saturate. Rub it in like lotion. Use ointment for the first 3 days, 5-6 times a day or as needed. For the next 11 days use a vitamin E lotion fragrance-free (Lubriderm) 5-6 times a day or as needed (NO VASELINE.)

No soaking (baths, swimming pools, Jacuzzi, lakes), etc.

No Shaving over your tattoo for 2 weeks.

No direct sunlight for 2 weeks (SPF 30 or tattoo goo color guard is good for protection from the sun.)

No picking off scabs or scratching, you could ruin color or open yourself up for infection!

Changing your bed sheets and pillowcase can help prevent cross-contamination.
